The neglect of the value added approach is a problem that runs deep through this country. When vast fortunes can be made via the real estate market - and sometimes tax free if the play the game right - it makes real work in comparison seem like a waste of time. 

There needs to be a comprehensive overhaul of this attitude. 

And Ross is quite correct, the creaming off of all the best students to work as brokers and bankers has deprived this country of talent that could have been put to far better use. 


Parliament has a lot to answer for.</description>
